The Holosun HS407C-X3-RD2 modernizes the trusted 407C platform with a reinforced housing, updated brightness control, and a crisp 2 MOA red dot built for everyday carry, duty use, and range performance. Designed around the RMR footprint, it delivers a low-profile optic that stays fast and simple on the slide. Automatic brightness from a forward-facing photodiode works with Solar Failsafe to keep the dot dialed in as light changes, while manual controls with memory and lockout give shooters full command when needed. Powered by a side-loading CR1632 battery rated up to 100,000 hours, and backed by Shake Awake, IP67 waterproofing, and 5000G vibration resistance, the HS407C-X3-RD2 is built for real-world reliability without extra bulk.

Solar Failsafe™
Solar Failsafe Technology is one of many innovations featured on solar-equipped Holosun optics. With Solar Failsafe, if your battery fails you always have a backup power source when natural or artificial light is available. Solar Failsafe is activated while in Auto Mode where reticle intensity is automatically adjusted based on the amount of light the solar cell receives. In brighter conditions you have a brighter reticle and in lower-light conditions the reticle will step down in intensity to match any lighting conditions. On models equipped with a super capacitor, it is possible to run the optic, indefinitely, in daytime and night conditions, by maintaining a charge through the Solar Failsafe System all without a battery.
