Solar Failsafe™
Solar Failsafe Technology is one of many innovations featured on solar-equipped Holosun optics. With Solar Failsafe, if your battery fails you always have a backup power source when natural or artificial light is available. Solar Failsafe is activated while in Auto Mode where reticle intensity is automatically adjusted based on the amount of light the solar cell receives. In brighter conditions you have a brighter reticle and in lower-light conditions the reticle will step down in intensity to match any lighting conditions. On models equipped with a super capacitor, it is possible to run the optic, indefinitely, in daytime and night conditions, by maintaining a charge through the Solar Failsafe System all without a battery.

This system allows users to switch between a precise 2 MOA gold dot, a bold 32 MOA circle, or a combined circle-dot reticle depending on the shooting scenario. The larger circle helps guide the eye to the center aiming point for extremely fast target acquisition at close range, while the standalone 2 MOA dot provides refined precision for more accurate shots at longer distances.
One of the standout features of this optic is its high-contrast gold LED reticle.
