Holosun 509T Red HE509T-RD X2 – Overview –
The Holosun HE509T-RD X2 is a hard-use, nitrogen-purged enclosed LED sight designed for handgun applications. The HE509T-RD X2features a grade 5 titanium housing, Holosun’s Super LED with up to 50k hour battery life, Multi-Reticle System, Solar Failsafe, and Shake Awake technology.
The X2 version adds improved glass clarity, Lock Mode, and a full Multi-Reticle System providing 2MOA dot only, 32MOA Circle only, or a Circle-Dot combination. HE509T-RD X2 includes an adapter plate for compatibility with rmr-style footprints. HE509T-RD X2 feature 12 intensity settings, two of which are compatible with night vision devices.

Solar Failsafe™
Solar Failsafe Technology is one of many innovations featured on solar-equipped Holosun optics. With Solar Failsafe, if your battery fails you always have a backup power source when natural or artificial light is available. Solar Failsafe is activated while in Auto Mode where reticle intensity is automatically adjusted based on the amount of light the solar cell receives. In brighter conditions you have a brighter reticle and in lower-light conditions the reticle will step down in intensity to match any lighting conditions. On models equipped with a super capacitor, it is possible to run the optic, indefinitely, in daytime and night conditions, by maintaining a charge through the Solar Failsafe System all without a battery.
